Every building still open costs $1, because a map with nobody on it is worth nothing. What a founder gets is not a discount — it is the floor. You pay once and the address is yours until somebody pays more for it, however far the rest of the map moves above you.
5 buildings are open right now, all of them in The Summit — the middle of the map. The valley opens outward from there, so today the centre is the cheap part.
Not the outskirts. The most visible addresses on the map are the ones on sale today, at the same dollar as everything else.
No subscription, no renewal, no expiry date. One payment, and the building is yours until somebody pays more for it.
Anyone taking it off you pays 5% more than you did, and the next pays 5% more again. You are told the moment it happens, and you can buy it back at that price like anybody else.
